Our partners

London Wildlife Trust has a wide range of partners, including:

GiGL

Greenspace Information for Greater London (GiGL) is the capital's open space and biodiversity records centre - they collate, manage and make available detailed information on London's wildlife, parks, nature reserves, gardens and other open spaces.

They work in close partnership with many individuals and organisations, both in the capital and further afield, who all produce high quality information about London’s wildlife. This data is collated and managed centrally by the GiGL team and made available to GiGL’s partners and customers, people who need the data to inform planning decisions, conservation work, research and many other activities. GiGL currently has five full-time and one part-time members of staff, and is hosted by London Wildlife Trust.

What’s in my backyard?

GiGL’s website has a tool that helps you discover what species are living in your area. Visit their WIMBY pages to find out what’s in your backyard!

London Biodiversity Partnership

The London Biodiversity Partnership (LBP) brings together organisations to benefit wildlife and boost the capital's green spaces.

In 1992, the UK government signed the 'Rio Convention' and committed to halting biodiversity loss through the 'UK Biodiversity Action Plan'. London is one of nine regions which form part of the UK Biodiversity Action Plan (BAP).

London Biodiversity Partnership delivers the London BAP for important habitats and species within the Greater London area. As well as its action plan species, London contains a number of nationally rare 'BAP priority species'.

London Wildlife Trust is one of a number of partner organisations of the LBP. We work together, pooling resources, experience and know-how, to have a greater impact than is possible working alone.
